American Idol Results

Looks like Lil Rounds, Jorge Nunez and Scott MacIntyre are moving on to the top 12. I was happy that Jorge and Scott made it through. I was kinda hoping to see Kendall move on but doesn't look like that will be happening.

Don't forget, there is another episode on tomorrow night (Thursday)! It's the wild card show!

American Idol Results

After tonight's show, we learned that Alexis, Michael and Danny have made it to the top 12. Overall, I was pleased with the results. Although, I would have rather seen Anoop in Michael's place.

AI - A Few Thoughts...

What does everyone think of the new voting system? I'm not sure yet, I guess we'll have to see what happens.

One complaint - now they are interviewing the parents? This is the most dragged out show as it is and now we get to meet all the parents.

So, here is what I thought of some of the performances tonight...

Jackie - Before there was any mention of the pants, I already hated them! Yuck! I think she is trying a bit too much with the personality. Not one of my favorites.

Ricky - He was good but forgettable.

Alexis - I liked her. I thought she sang very well and also dressed the part. Love her hair!

Stevie - She seemed soooo nervous! It really showed. Poor girl.

Tatiana - Can we please get rid of this girl? I don't care how well she sings. She is so annoying!

Danny - He is one of my absolute favorites. I can see him being the American Idol this year.

So what did everyone else think?

How Important is Preschool?

For the past 3 years I had my mind set on sending my daughter to preschool. I was rather excited about it, for many reasons. Since her birthday is right past the cut-off age to start schoool, she won't get to go to kindergarten until she is almost 6! That seems ridiculous to me. She is three now and stuck at home with me all day, and as fun as I am, she gets bored. She really wants to interact with other children. Plus, I want to give her that head start, just like any parent would.

I was recently crushed when I learned that I am "too rich" to send my daughter to head start and "too poor" to send her to preschool. There is just no way I could afford to send her to preschool. It's sooo expensive! I'd be willing to pay something, but not the type of money they ask for.

Really, I'm just venting. It makes me sad sometimes to see my child so lonely. I just keep telling myself that preschool isn't really that important. I do work with her everyday on vocabulary, colors, shapes, abcs, numbers, etc. I guess I'll have to continue with that and do the best I can.

Anyone else run into this problem?
